Does God answer prayers? Does God really hear my prayers? How does God answer prayers? These are some of the questions lingering in most of the minds in today’s world. Prayer is a way you communicate with God the creator of heaven and the Earth. It might seem absurd to many about praying to a god you cannot see. But in reality human beings are created with a deep longing to be connected with someone. Many try to fill this gap with so many things. But at the end of the day, you’re never satisfied. You have a deep hollow in your heart. We can talk to God as we talk to a friend. It is always a best idea to go and tell God all your needs, pain, suffering and much more. There is nothing in this world we can hide from God. He knows everything about us. He knew us even before we were born. Sometimes you might have a question in mind like will my prayers really come true? Will prayers really work? Prayers will never return void.
God is good. He is so good. We can never measure his goodness. Sometimes you might have a legit plan in your mind. You might be thinking you’ve got only little resources to accomplish the plan. But god knows your heart. He knows what you need even before you ask him.
I was planning to surprise my dad on his birthday with something he really wanted for a very long time. Even though he can afford it, his other commitments comes in the way so that he really was not able to get it. My plan was to get him that product. It will be really helpful to him. I prayed to God about this. I told him, I want to get this product but I don’t have enough money. So help me find an online job so that I can earn the remaining money to get that. I tried applying to so many jobs, but everybody rejected my application. So I thought let’s wait some more months to save up enough money and get him this though we won’t be able to buy on his birthday we can give him as his late present. Everyday morning I used to pray as soon as I wake up. Also I would read the Bible, but today I was reading how Joshua, once when he was in a battle he asked the moon and sun to stop and god made them stagnant until he finished the battle. When I read this I said, God you know I have to buy this for my dad, you stopped the moon for Joshua, help me get a part time job so that I can earn money to get that. Why aren’t you hearing my prayers. I prayed like this.
Yesterday I was discussing the budget with my sister and it would cost this much. She told, we have to sell our kidneys to get that much money now.Today surprisingly I received an e-mail about some pay I had to receive once upon a time. I was thinking they would grant me a little sum of money. But still I was so excited to know how much should I earn more to get that gift. I was awestruck when I saw the amount given to me. You won’t believe me, it was exactly the same amount I had planned and budgeted. My joy knew no bounds. My eyes welled up with tears.
I was really sorry for not trusting God that he could provide me what I needed. Our ways are never his ways. Even our thoughts are never his thoughts. So take courage my friend, God is very good. Psalms 118:1 says, Taste and see that the lord is good. His thoughts always outweigh our thoughts. He’s not a man to throw you away. He is really good. I want you to taste the same God I have tasted. He is Jesus. He is living. He is the only true living God who understands your feelings and your heart. When the world runs in an opposite direction he runs in your direction. He can be trusted than anyone else in this world. He will never fail you nor forsake you. He is faithful. Man may lie. But once he tells something it’s once and for all. Trust him! Taste him! Love him more!
